The content management system (CMS) used by the College of Natural Science is a combination of multiple technologies working together to bring you the best experience possible. This page will give a brief explanation of each of those technologies.

Mura CMS 7

The College of Natural Science upgraded and launched the Mura CMS software to version 7.1 on May6, 2018. Previously, the college had been using Mura CMS 7.0. An overview of the features can be found on the vendor website.

jQuery 2.2.2

The Mura CMS uses jQuery, a feature-rich JavaScript library. This library allows for things like HTML document traversal and manipulation. More information can be found on the vendor website.

Bootstrap 4.1.1

The Mura CMS uses the Bootstrap front-end framework. This framework allows for faster and easier front-end web development and provides numerous out-of--the-box components to help enhance a website. More information can be found on the vendor website.

natsci-mura-bootstrap4_v1

The College of Natural Science Mura 7.1 installation uses a custom theme called natsci-mura-bootstrap4_v1. This custom theme builds on top of Bootstrap, providing the look and feel that you see on the College of Natural Science and Department/Program websites.

natsci-icon-font

The previous College of Natural Science design used an icon font known as Font Awesome. This new design uses a custom icon font, natsci-icon-font, that uses Font Awesome as a base. This means that the new custom font is backwards compatiable with Font Awesome icons, and allows for the inclusion of custom icons, such as the Spartan helmet and shield.
